Eco-friendly beachfront apartments built with energy and water saving features in mind.

The Concept – This residential resort will contain seven villas.  Each villa is home to five apartments.  Two are on the ground floor, two on the first floor and one larger penthouse attic apartment occupies the top floor. The apartments are between 55sqm to 85sqm. ( In addition the development will include several pool villas which will be for daily/weekly rental and not for sale. )

Architecture – This development has been designed by Thai & German architects and takes design cues from some of the best luxury resorts in Thailand including Evason Six Senses.

Location – The development is located on the south west coast of Koh Mak. Very close to the land recently purchased by Sheraton Resorts and a few hundred metres from the popular Ao Kao Beach.

The Design – The apartment villas will include many energy saving innovations not seen elsewhere on Koh Mak or Koh Chang.  These include:

A 100% water-recycling system
Solar water heating
Solar-cell for lights and other electric equipment
50,000 liter water tanks for the rain-water
Rain-water filter system
Insulated Double walls
Double glazing on all doors & windows
Electric saving lights (warm led’s)

Other design features are:

High standard of finishing
Terrazzo floors
Modern Thai style with traditional touches
Wireless Internet
Satellite TV

Resort Facilities include a beachfront pool, approx 30m x 8m, restaurant and Spa.

Construction will begin on The Bay in mid/late 2009.  However, the first apartment villa is already under construction elsewhere on the island and interested parties will be able to visit this in order to see what the completed apartments will look like.

Prices – Prices for apartments range from 88,000 – 135,000 Euros. ( Approx 4.4 – 6.6 Million Baht) Apartments are sold on a Leasehold basis.  Although the developer expects some to be available for Freehold purchase in a Foreign name for an additional 500,000 Baht.
