The local owner of this private island located in the Koh Chang archipelago is now looking to sell. The island is approximately 40 Rai, ( 64,000sqm ) in size of which approx 3 Rai has a Chanote title deed and can be developed. The remainder is jungle covered hillside. The island also features a lovely white sand beach and there is good snorkelling and fishing around the island. In the recent past several TV commercials have been filmed here, for European and Thai adverts, here using the island as a tropical paradise setting. There are no permanent residents on the island but it is home to a small budget resort that caters to people looking to get away from it all.
The nearest equivalent in the area, in terms of size and beach, is the island of Koh Kham which was sold in 2008 to a Thai developer who is currently building luxury villas that will be rented for a reported 100,000 baht/night.
