I doubt you’ll see another plot like this for sale on the island.
It hasn’t been possible to buy beachfront land on the west coast of Koh Chang for years. Which is why anyone who wants a house by the beach has to buy either at the large Siam Royal View development in the northwest of Koh Chang or on the east coast.
At SRV a 330Sqm beachfront plot will set you back around 7 or 8 Million Baht. On the east coast all the beachfront land in the two locations where there are nice small beaches has now been developed.
All except this one plot.
It is owned by my Dutch brother-in-law & his Thai wife. Years ago they visited Koh Chang and liked it and planned to have a holiday home here in the future. We managed to find a local owner who would sell a 1 Rai plot, which was rare even back then.
However, they now have twins who are growing up quickly and so plan to sell this land to finance the purchase of a larger family home in the Netherlands.
The land lies between one of the nicest homes on the island ( built by the owner of the nearby Serenity Resort) and the Baan Talay Thai housing development – where a beachfront house on around 600Sqm of land costs from 12 – 15 Million Baht )
The land dimensions are 40m x 40m. It has a Chanote title deed. Currently in a Thai name. Access is via public road. Obviously no problem to connect water and electricity etc as there are various homes nearby.
The land was cleared, levelled and filled in when it was bought. So it’s ready to build on. But – as you can see from the photos is overgrown now.
