This house was built in 2012 – 13 by a Dutchman and his wife but due to business commitments they have only been able to use it a few times and now won’t be able to return to Koh Chang to live in the house permanently as planned.
It is located by the roadside in Dan Kao, a couple of kilometres south of the ferry piers on the east coast. it’s a quiet area but there is a small resort a few hundred metres away and quite a few expats with homes in a small housing development another 10 minutes walk away.
The house, which is over 450Sqm on two floors, was designed so it could have a small restaurant or coffee shop downstairs as there is quite a lot of passing trade in the form of people heading round the island by scooter. At the rear of the house the owners have planted around 70 lime trees and a large number of ‘perfume wood’ trees. These take a few years to mature but when they do they are very valuable.
From the upper floor it is possible to see the ocean – about 200 metres as the crow flies – and and get a great sunrise view. The land is fenced and has been cleared and levelled.
The house is partially furnished and the furniture is included in the sale, as is a small boat.
